The salvaging of the historic cast iron fence in front of the former Higginbotham Funeral Home/W. R. Lane house on West Main Street in Walnut Ridge is underway, and should be completed before this fall. The fence will be installed along the east side of Mt. Zion Cemetery, and 6' tall sections of more recent wrought iron fencing will be installed around several plots at the cemetery, echoing several historic plot fences already extant. Once done, this project will truly transform the cemetery!
